We came across a wildlife drama that had been happening for several hours. At first we thought that there was a bear sighting but it turned out that the buffalo in the forefront of the pictures had either been fighting with the buffalo in the background , and been hurt, or the buffalo is sick. This coyote kept attacking the buffalo biting its nose as it was down. Finally the buffalo made it to his feet and was attempting to keep the coyote at bay. It was sad to watch and we only stayed a short time. It is a fact of nature but one I don't have to watch play out!
